AFL NOTES: Robert Pollard enters his rookie AFL season looking to build off his NFL experience, playing with the San Diego Chargers and Seattle Seahawks. He was signed on February 9, 2008.
OTHER PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: 2006 - Pollard was released by the Seahawks on December 26. He played in one game for Seattle and posted four tackles against the San Francisco 49ers (12/14) after being signed from the team's practice squad on November 22. 2005 - Spent the season with the Seattle Seahawks on the team's practice squad until he was signed to the active roster on January 17, 2006 but did not play in a game during the postseason. 2004 - Pollard was signed to the Chargers active roster on January 1, 2005 after spending the majority of the season on the team's practice squad and made his NFL debut against Kansas City (1/2/05). He originally signed with the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent on April 30, but was released on August 31.
COLLEGE: Pollard finished his career at TCU 180 tackles and 12.5 sacks. He was named to Conference USA's Third-Team as a senior.
PERSONAL: Pollard was All-District at Westbrook High in Beaumont, Texas as he also earned Super Gold Team Defensive Player of the Year and PrepStar All-America honors. He majored in psychology at TCU. Pollard is married to Janell.
